Berlin-Schönefeld Airport
The international Berlin-Schönefeld Airport is currently one of Berlin’s three airports. The facility is scheduled to be transformed into Berlin-Brandenburg lnternational Airport in 2011, when the other two airports will close and BBl will remain as the German capital’s single airport with an up to
50 million passenger capacity. Founded in 1934, the historic Berlin-Schönefeld is popular with vacationers, and is often referred to as ’The Holiday Airport’ due to its international charter flight load.
